Mommies Group

Not sure if its the Holidays or what but I have been in the Betty Crocker mood! I got a new cookbook, the Southern Living Christmas edition, and I have been baking up a storm: sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies, and a pork tenderloin recipe. Oh soo yummy. I was finding myself eating cookies with Kinley's morning feeding...Now I know why santa looks like he does!

Last Friday Kinley and I went to Mommies group for the first time since she has been born. A group of girls from my work get together with their little ones every 3rd Friday of the month. It was fun. We painted the kiddos feet/hands and made ornaments. Might I say yes it was Challenging!! Except Kinley....she just slept right through the ornament decorating!

She sat in a bumbo seat for the first time and liked it.....well I guess I should say she liked it for maybe 1 minute, then she screamed and wanted out!! Everyone at Mommies group said how great of a baby she was...never crying, and soo chill. I just smiled and took the compliment :)

Yesterday Miss Kinley and I had lunch with Aunt Sammy Jo. We really enjoyed her visit!! Hopefully we will play with Charlie over the holidays.

Santa

Santa

So we went to see santa yesterday at the mall. Kinley loved santa!! She even smiled in a few pics! Auntie Liz went with me so I could find some jeans....Im done with the maternity clothes!!

Today Kinley graduated to Size 1 Pampers!! After her blow out on her play mat tonight we decided it was time! Kinley only likes to have big blow outs in her dipaers when daddy is around....so he is a pro!! LOL.

2 Months Old

Today our little angel turned 2 months old. Time sure does fly by...I feel like she is growing up so fast! Kinley now weighs 10 pounds and is 21 1/2 inches long. She is in the 25th percentile for weight but she is gaining appropriately and eats like a champ! She had to get 2 shots and one oral vaccination today. I believe that watching your child cry because she is hurting is the hardest thing to do. It completely broke both mine and Jeremy's heart.

She slept for 2 hours on my chest when we got home. At the end of her nap......she was screaming uncontrollably. There was nothing that I could do to console her for at least 10 minutes. I called Jeremy helpless that I could not console my daughter. Out came the Tylenol. After about 20 minutes I finally calmed her down and just held her in my arms. It broke my heart that she was having pain. Auntie Liz came over to keep me company and for some reassurance for mommy. Once Jeremy came home he helped comfort Kinley. Later towards the evening she was smiling at mommy & daddy with only a few cries here and there. Hopefully she will get some rest tonight.

2 Month Milestones:

  • Cooing

  • Socially Smiling

  • Following faces with her eyes

  • Getting better head control

  • Not a big fan of tummy time

  • Eating Like a Champ

  • Wearing New Born diapers & clothes

Thanksgiving

Ok so I guess today will be the day that I begin blogging! We had a wonderful thanksgiving in El Campo & Edna once we made it there on Wednesday. It took us 4 1/2 hours from Austin to El Campo ....traffic was horrendous!! But we made it there safely which is all that matters. We have so much to be thankful for! Being blessed with a beautiful daughter is the most wonderful thing that God could give us. Kinley got to meet Jeremys family & extended family for the first time. Yep....she was held the entire day!! She loved her Turkey outfits that GiGi had made for her. She pretty much was the hit of the party!!

Kinley started cooing today!! She will be 2 months tomorrow which means.....shots :( But luckily we have daddy to go with me. I cant wait to see how much she has grown!!
